Ok this short blog post is about a lot of breeds I feel are being forgotten
Millie an Airedale Terrior
about in place of new designer breeds. One such breed is the Airdale terrior aka “king of terriors.” The breed originated in England. They are sweet dogs and historically easy to train. They are a double coated breed with a soft undercoat and wirey terrior coat on top. They generally do not shed very much but their coat does “blow out” a couple of times a year during these time shedding will increase. Their coat can be hand stripped during these times or clipped. Their hair does not typically grow long. So this breed sounds awesome right? Right. But we are venturing into times where “designer” dogs are in. And don’t get me wrong they are great, great dogs also, but the point is are we forgetting some great breeds? I can soley base a business in this day and age by just grooming Goldendoodles and be able to pay the bills, but only do a few of dogs such as these. So this got me thinking how many other breeds are being forgotten or are just unknown? So I am going to spotlight breeds weekly on this blog to help me learn, as well as to share with you, more information on what we love…dogs!! Hope you enjoy
